5 Things Mothers Can Do On Their Own To Increase Their Chances Of Getting Pregnant

  • Stop Drinking Alcohol

If you are trying to conceive, the first thing that you need to do as a mother is stop drinking alcohol.

Why is this important?

Women need to stop drinking alcohol when they’re trying to get pregnant because excessive alcohol consumption during pregnancy can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, which means your baby’s physical and mental health can be affected.

  • Stop Smoking

If you have plans to keep your baby healthy, you want to quit smoking too.

Why is this important?

Well, it’s because of the fact that every cigarette that you smoke contains around 4000 chemicals. This means that all the chemicals that you inhale will also be received by your little one. Not only that, but cigarettes can restrict the essential oxygen supply to your little one, which can result in irregular heartbeat or even heart problems in your little one.

  • Stop Drugs

Stopping drugs is necessary if you are trying to get pregnant. You have to keep in mind that taking drugs during pregnancy can increase the chance of birth defects, premature babies, underweight babies, and still-born births. Not only that, but drugs such as weed, alcohol, and cocaine have been proven to cause behavioral problems in early childhood.

  • Eat Healthily

Eating healthy will play a huge role if you are trying to get pregnant.  Remember, the healthier your body will be, the more likely you are to get pregnant. Not only that, but your little one is going to stay healthy too!  Drinking healthy drinks can also help you detox your body, which can remove the free radicals that are inside you.

  • Sleep More

Sleeping more can also help you out in getting pregnant. A study that was carried out by the National Sleep Foundation found that women that are undergoing IVF, particularly the ones who slept 7 to 8 hours per day, were 25 percent more successful in conceiving than those who got 9 hours of sleep every night. Women who slept fewer than 7 hours were 15 percent less likely to become pregnant.
