Pregnant Week 13

Overview

The eyes of your baby are there, however, they are not open yet. The eyelids of the baby are fused to shut so the body can protect the eyes as they fully develop. At this time the baby is also forming its vocal cords. This is the organ that will be responsible for the laughter, cries, and the first words that you will be hearing. The head of your baby is also becoming more in balance with the rest of its body, this is because the head is bigger when the baby starts to develop.
