Pregnancy Week 2

There is no fetal development at 2 weeks, but remember, it is coming. At this time, your body is preparing for the fetal development. In your ovary, an egg is maturing and it is getting ready to break free.

At this time, the lining of your uterus is growing and it is getting thicker. This is happening so it could accept and manage to take care of the baby that will be incident you.

At the end of the week, ovulation will occur as your ovary releases the egg into your fallopian tubes.

Please take note, an egg is capable of surviving for 12 to 24 hours after ovulation. However, you do not have to have sex on the exact day of the ovulation. This is because sperm is capable of living up to 5 days in fertile cervical mucus. So this means that you can have intercourse every other day during week 2 or time the sexual intercourse 1 day or 2 days before the ovulation in order to get the sperm in place, ready, and waiting for the egg when it gets released.
